What a Friend We Have in Jesus, arr. by Mark Hayes
I love to play the arrangements by Mark Hayes.
He creates magical harmonies that sound so natural and beautiful.
This piece contains several different sections that require different tempos due to the nature of the notation. However, they don't sound abrupt or strange in transitions, yet hard to realize that there has been a tempo change.
Most of the time if there is any difficulty in his arrangements, it is the range of the chord which requires a big hand.
Mark Hayes used the Jazz color in harmony that supports the melody without disrupting.
